Every once in a while you want to splurge and take your self out to dinner but you don’t want to spend a lot of money. There are many ways that you avoid this, the first way is to avoid going to fancy places that cost an arm and a leg to have a salad. No one says you have to eat at McDonalds but you don’t have to go to a five star restaurant.
One way to save money is by getting separate bills. You tend to pay more money than you actually ate when you divide the bill. Ask the waiter for a separate bill. The next thing you should do is don’t order any appetizer, many meals come with soup or salad why spend the extra money if you don’t have too.
If you are really in a tight budget, forgo a glass of wine and even a soda, stick to water with lemon or if the restaurant offers free refills then getting a glass of iced tea or soda won’t hurt but if they don’t offer free refills skip it altogether.
Also if you are on a tight budget then you must skip dessert or maybe you can share one with your dinner guests. That is usually fun and inexpensive too. You can have a great meal and a great time and not break your budget.
